Happy Sunday everyone! We know borders are still shut in some states but what are your thoughts to the relaxation of travel restrictions?
Hopefully all the BLM protests of late don't cause another COVID shut down and we get all get a chance to enjoy some travel.
School holidays are only 2 weeks away here in Queensland and now that it's fully open for travel within, it's probably the best state in Australia to be able to travel within (yes I'm a Queenslander born and bred so I will be quite biased on this topic ;-) It certainly helps when we have the Whitsundays in our backyard.
As much as we love this wonderful state and country, how good would it be to live in New Zealand right now? NO RESTRICTIONS! You can attend sporting events, go to the movies and have as many as you want at restaurants and pubs!
There's rumors running hot that Virgin are about to be back up and running with heaps of extra flight paths being added. It would be great to see them back in the aussie skies so we can all enjoy some reasonably priced airfares to fly away with.
Jetstar introduced some cheap deals a few weeks ago especially Brisbane to Sydney but it's pretty hard to use it at the moment with Queensland NSW border still closed. While we understand states are looking after their own and trying to keep everyone safe, the border closures are killing a lot of Queensland tourism. Queensland is everyone's escape during the Winter months. The chance to escape the cold and enjoy some warm weather is still out of reach.
One of our loyal customers contacted us this week. They live on the Sunshine Coast and told us no that Queensland is open for business within they will be taking the scenic drive to Cairns. They said that as much as their life is already amazing living where they do, now that isolation is over they're going to take advantage and spend 3 weeks on the road.
Just because they're not flying this trip, doesn't mean they wont be wearing their compression socks. Sitting or standing our knee high compression keep that blood circulation pumping. They have recommended our socks to all their grey nomad friends!
