So what a big week we had up here in the wonderfully humid Brisbane! Hottest 100 on Saturday in which they might as well as changed the name to the ‘Billie Eilish’ 100! Boy hasn’t she come a long way in the last 12 months? I hadn’t even heard of her until my kids told me who she was. Australia Day on the Sunday, public holiday Monday and finally the kids back to school segregated over the next 3 days for us! Yay!
So here we are on the cusp of hopefully what will be a relaxing weekend. If you’re anything like our household that relaxation won’t begin until after the usual Saturday morning run around of shopping and getting all the things that you were supposed to but forgot to buy the kids before school went back.
With all this running around, how best do we take care of our feet so they’re not shattered after being on them for so long? Compression runners can help!
We blog a lot about how knee high compression socks are always best to look after your feet, but there’s times and places where it’s just not comfortable to do so. For instance up here in Brisbane, 6 months of the year it can get extremely hot in long compression if you’re not in the air con or somewhere cool. Hopping in and out of a car while doing the errands in the humidity can get quite sweaty.
Even though it’s not a jog or a sprint, it’s still important to have the right type of support for your with good quality ankle socks as your feet are twisting all different ways. It’s like tennis without the tennis.
Whether it’s ASICS, Nike, Adidas or a good old pair of Dunlop volleys , ankle compression runners can make your shoes a little or a lot more comfortable. If you already feel your shoes feel like you’re walking on a cloud, and you then add a sock with a cushioned heel and toe, ankle and arch support, it won’t feel like you’re just walking on a cloud, you’ll feel like you’re on cloud nine!
So when finally the afternoon hits, you’ve done the shopping, you’ve run all your errands and you’ve lost the kids somewhere. It’s time to grab your beer wine or spritzer, put on your favourite tunes (maybe some Billie Eilish ) sit down and not worry about how sore your feet are? Why? Because you had on a pair of the best compression runners.
Enjoy your weekend!
